The Soga Clan
Japan's most influential clan of sorcerers — and the series' heaviest secret.
The Soga clan is Japan's most influential clan of sorcerers, known for its powers of clairvoyance passed down through generations by the women of the clan.
Chiaki Soga, mother of Chihiro Rokuhira, comes from this clan. Her brother Akemura Soga bears the title of "Sword Master": he is bound forever to Shinuchi, the most powerful of the seven Enchanted Blades.
After the Seitei War, Akemura used a forbidden technique, the Curse, to slaughter around 200,000 civilians of Shokoku, claiming to act to protect Japan. This traumatic and hidden event still runs through the entire current plot of Kagurabachi.
