Biography
Nicknamed the "Sword Master" (剣聖), Akemura Soga is eternally bound to the blade Shinuchi, also called Magatsumi. Brother of Chiaki Soga, he is therefore Chihiro's uncle, a blood tie that weighs heavily on the story.
After the Seitei War, Akemura used a forbidden technique, the Curse, to slaughter around 200,000 civilians of Shokoku, claiming to act to protect Japan — a justification that only deepens the horror of his act.
He kills Seiichi Samura and shatters Enten during their confrontation, displaying a power far beyond that of every other antagonist encountered so far.
Akemura Soga is the dark power hiding behind the Hishaku's final moves, the true threat behind Yura.
